About Taos Pueblo

Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site, Taos Pueblo is one of the longest continually inhabited communities in the United States and represents a significant stage in the history of urban, community and cultural life and development in this region.

Recent Airport Improvements

Runway 13/31

TaosAir_CaliforniaJan09-12.jpg

Our newest and longest runway was completed and opened for service in 2017. At 8,603ft and with its perpendicular orientation to runway 4/22, the new runway expands the operational capabilities of the airport. Runway 13 has an RNAV approach with minimums of 200’ and 3/4mi.

Snow Removal

The Taos Regional Airport’s snow removal capability rivals that of much bigger airports. Equipment includes a Kodiak truck and a John Deer tractor both with 16’ plow implements.

Deice Type 1 and 4

In 2018, the airport took delivery of a new deice truck with a boom extension capable of reaching almost any aircraft tail. We stock a generous supply of type 1 and 4 deice fluid at all times.
